UBC Farm: Cultivating Connections
The UBC Farm is a 24 hectare learning and research farm located on the University of British Columbia’s Campus in Vancouver. The farm is student-driven and integrated with the wider community. As the only working farmland within the city of Vancouver, the UBC Farm is an urban agrarian gem, featuring a landscape of unique beauty. On September 24, 2011, the Farm is holding a family friendly farm day to harvest autumn’s bounty.
Vanier Cup 2011 – National Football Championship
As a part of this year’s Vanier Cup festivities The Thunderbird Football Association is a range of events which include a Thunderbird Football Reunion, Breakfast of Champions, Tailgate Party and Youth Football Camp. This is an ambitious program that requires volunteers and sponsorship donors.
Reunions Engagement Leader
Hundreds of UBC faculty & affinity reunions take place every year. These events range from an informal beer at the Mahony & Sons to a more formal show at the Chan Centre. The events are driven by respective Class Leaders, who would appreciate some support with tasks like arranging a class gift, venue and programming — especially when they’re taking it on for the first time. The purpose of the Reunions Engagement Team is to ensure these class leaders have all the tools needed to operate fun and successful reunions. The Reunions Engagement team is alumni facing and skilled in customer service, alumni relations and event planning.
