Courses are offered on the UBC Point Grey campus, in downtown Vancouver at UBC Robson Square and 100 per cent online.
Saturdays, September to December, 9:30am-4:00pm; UBC Point Grey. $75
Spend a Saturday at the UBC Point Grey campus exploring something you’ve always wanted to know with a one-day liberal arts and science course taught by some of UBC’s best minds. Topics range from Sigmund Freud to Leonard Cohen, from First Nations languages to Japanese art, from the Eurozone to the genome, and more.
Nine-week evening or Saturday courses starting week of September 24; UBC Point Grey. $315
Develop fluency in a relaxed atmosphere with a conversational language course in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Mandarin or one of 17 other languages, including American Sign Language. Advanced level courses are available in French, Spanish, Korean or Mandarin translation and interpreting. We also offer online courses in Latin, Reading and Writing French or Spanish, and Chinese Translation for Business.
Courses start in October and November, $99-$175
Increase your quality of life and make informed decisions about your health with new courses led by community experts and university instructors. Learn what to eat to beat stress and fatigue, how to improve your sleeping pattern and much more. Courses take place evenings, weekends and during noon-hour breaks at UBC Point Grey and downtown at UBC Robson Square.

The UBC Continuing Studies Centre for Cultural Planning and Development is offering three new online professional development courses this fall: Foundations of Cultural Planning, Culture Plans and Creative Placemaking. Courses can be taken individually, or combined to lead to the UBC Certificate in Cultural Planning.
Courses start in October, UBC Point Grey and UBC Robson Square and online, $400-$450.
Have you always wanted to author a novel or screenplay? Or pen a memoir or travel article? Whatever your writing objective, the UBC Continuing Studies Writing Centre has a professional or creative writing course to help you achieve it, taught by award-winning professional writers. If you have trouble fitting a weekly class into your busy schedule, or don’t live in Vancouver, a number of our writing courses are available entirely online.

Learn the secrets to creating healthy French, Mexican, vegetarian or raw food cuisine at home under the guidance of expert chefs. Each hands-on class explores a variety of delicious recipes and the class ends with a multi-course meal.
