Current Role: Comic Book Artist

Right now, I'm working on a comic book depicting the trials and tribulations of an older woman.

Briefly describe your career journey so far:

I have been an elementary school teacher, a high school teacher, a university instructor and now an artist.

How do you define success?

I define success as a sense of peace- but not all of the time!

If you could go back in time, what would you do differently?

I would pursue my artwork more diligently.

How have you been able to leverage the skills and knowledge acquired in your degree and during your time at UBC to grow your career?

My happiest times at UBC were during my visual art classes, where I was able to learn from and work with wonderful instructors. The skills I gained during my time at UBC have helped my current art.
