alumni UBC Around the World: Canada

UBC’s global alumni network is over 370,000 strong, with alumni living in 150 countries worldwide. As our world has become increasingly digital over the past year, alumni UBC has identified new ways to bring our global alumni community together virtually. One example of this is the global event series alumni UBC Around the World, which launched in June 2021, with a focus on helping alumni meet fellow grads in their region, learn more about UBC’s global footprint, and stay connected to UBC no matter where they may be.

In October, we offered an event for UBC alumni living in Canada. This night of food, wine, and fun was hosted by Toronto-based alum Tique Chandler (BCom’16), founder of Chandler Honey. The delicious evening began with a cooking demo by chef Evan Elman (BA’13), founder of Vancouver Private Dining, who showed guests how to make a decadent spaghetti carbonara that’s sure to impress. Next up, we heard from Montréal-based sommelière Lindsay Brennan (BA’05), founder of Importations Vin I Vida, and co-owner of Alma and Tinc Set, who provided advice for savvy food and wine pairings that will help you elevate your culinary experiences.

Don’t miss this replay for an opportunity to learn from fellow alumni across the country as they share their expertise and arm you with some new life skills.
