Lens on Life – Vietnam01

Hanoi, Vietnam (2009) – The fall of South Vietnam in 1975 is one of the first international-political events I recall following, aged 12. In 2009, I travelled to the unified country. Soldiers were everywhere, but Vietnam didn’t feel particularly militarized. Indeed, it was very friendly and easygoing, aside from the insane urban traffic. The women soldiers in the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi are adorable in their cheerful cheekiness.
