Andy received the Distinguished Forester Award in B.C. in 1994. He was very proud to represent the Sopron class who finished their degree at UBC after leaving Hungary in 1956 when Russian tanks rolled into their country. Andy was also president of the Vernon Seed Orchard Company and was extremely passionate about ensuring successful reforestation in British Columbia through the use of the highest quality seeds genetically adapted to their forest environment.
